Government of India, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL 10+2) Examination 2020 scheduled to be held on 12th April to 27th April 2021. The SSC CHSL 2020-2021 examination for recruitment positions of Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators (DEO) and Lower Divisional Clerks (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) in Different Ministries / Departments / Offices of the Government of India. The SSC CHSL 10+2 Exam 2020 Online registration scheduled to be close on 15th December 2020. The last date for submission of application has been extended up to 26th December 2020.

The SSC will hold the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10 + 2) Examination 2020 in Computer Based Mode for recruitment to the posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA), Data Entry Operator (DEO), Data Entry Operator, Grade "A" in different Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of Government of India and their Attached and Subordinate Offices.

Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as on 1st January 2020 (Candidates born not before 02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-2003). The Upper Age Limit relaxation - 05 Years for SC / ST. 03 Years for OBC, Plus 10 Years for PWD, for others as per Govt. Rules.

Minimum Educational Qualification (as on 1st January 2021):

✔️ For LDC / JSA, PA / SA, DEO: Candidates must have passed Matric with 12th class standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.

✔️ For DEO in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): Matric with 12th class pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized board or equivalent.

Selection Process: The examination will consist of a Computer based Written Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Typing Test/ Skill Test (Tier-III) Examination for the post of Data Entry Operator, Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) and Lower Division Clerk.

✔️ Tier-II Paper Descriptive Paper will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in ‘Pen and Paper Mode'. The duration of the paper would be for one hour (20 minutes compensatory time will also be provided to the candidates). This paper has been introduced to assess the writing skills of the candidates which is necessary in Government jobs. The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200-250 words and Letter/ Application of approximately 150-200 words. The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 per cent. The performance in Tier II would be included for preparing merit. The paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. Part paper written in Hindi and Part in English will not be evaluated.

✔️ Tier-III Examination: Tier-III of the Examination would be the Skill Test/ Typing Test which would be of qualifying nature.  Skill Test/ Typing Test would be in consonance with the provisions. The final merit of the successful candidates would be determined on the basis of total score obtained by them in Tier-I and Tier-II.

✔️ Skill Test for Data Entry Operator: (1) Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer. (2) For post of Data Entry Operator  in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG):- A speed Test of not less than 15000 key depressions per hour for data entry work to be ascertained through speed test on Computer.

Application Fee:

✔️ ₹ 100/- for OBC and UR (General) Candidates.
✔️ The fee exempted for all women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, Physically Handicapped and Ex-servicemen.

✅ How to Apply SSC CHSL 2021?

Eligible Interested candidates must be submitted in only online mode at SSC Headquarters official website ssc.nic.in. In the online Application Form, The candidates are required to upload the scanned colour passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). The photograph should not be more than three months old from the date of publication of the Notice of Examination, and, the date on which the photograph has been taken should be clearly printed on the photograph. The last date for registration of online applications is 26th December 2020.
