Applications are invited from male Indian nationals for recruitment to the post of Navik (General Duty) in the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), an Armed Force of the Union. The online registration of application will be open from 1st July to 10th July 2018.

Navik (General Duty) |
18 to 22 Years (i.e. born between 01 February 1997 to 31 January 2001 (both dates inclusive). Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates. |
On joining Indian Coast Guard, you will be placed in Basic pay ₹ 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/ place of posting as per the prevailing regulations. |
Educational Qualification: Matric with 12th class (10+2) passed with 50% marks aggregate in total and minimum 50% aggregate in Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Central/State Government.
Medical Standards:
| (a) Medical examination will be conducted by authorized Military Doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to Enrolled Personnel on entry. |
| (b) Height - Minimum height 157 cms. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. orders. |
| (c) Chest - Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms. |
| (d) Weight - Proportionate to height and age +-10 percentage acceptable. |
| (e) Hearing – Normal. |
Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Written Examination and Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
How to Apply: Eligible Interested candidates are required to apply online through Join Indian Coast Guard website from 1st July 2018. The closing date for submission of online applications is 10/07/2018 till 17:00 Hours.
On successful submission of the online application a unique Application/ Registration number will be provided to the candidate. Candidates must note down this application number for future reference and for retrieval/ reprint of e-admit card. Applicants to take print out of the e-admit card through official website from 21 July to 31 July 2018 only post short listing of the online application.

Qualification and Eligibility:
| General Duty –> | (1) Minimum Bachelor's degree in any discipline from any recognised university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. (2) Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to intermediate or 12th Class of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with 60% aggregate in mathematics and physics. |
| CPL –> | (1) Minimum Matric with 12th class pass in Physics and Maths subjects with 60% marks in aggregate. (2) Candidates holding current / valid Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) issued/ validated by Director General Of Civil Aviation (DGCA). |
Additional Eligibility:
| (a) The candidates failed in Computerized Pilot Selection System/ PABT or suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy are not eligible for Pilot branch. |
| (b) Candidates withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any other service training academy are not eligible to appear. |
| (c) Candidates should not have been arrested, convicted or prosecuted on criminal charges. |
| (d) Only candidates cleared their final year/ final semester exams and completed their degrees are to apply. |
