Discipline-wise slot numbers are given in the detailed notification. Candidates must apply only against vacancies notified for Western Region states and UTs. Selection of a training location outside the notified states will lead to rejection.
✅ IOCL WR Apprentice 2026 Eligibility Criteria:
- Diploma disciplines (101 to 106): 3-year regular full-time Diploma in the relevant engineering branch with minimum 50% marks for General, EWS and OBC-NCL, and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved positions.
- ITI disciplines (107 to 111): Matriculation with a regular full-time 2-year ITI course in the relevant trade, recognised by NCVT/SCVT.
- Graduate Apprentice (112): Regular full-time Graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD against reserved positions).
- Data Entry Operator Fresher (113): Class 12th, but below Graduate, with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD against reserved positions).
- Data Entry Operator Skill Certificate (114): Class 12th, but below Graduate, plus a Skill Certificate of Domestic Data Entry Operator for training of less than one year, issued by an awarding body recognised under NSQF or any other authority recognised by the Central Government.
- Qualification must be a full-time regular course. Part-time, correspondence and distance-learning qualifications are not eligible.
- Age Limit (as on 30.09.2026): Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years.
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years (up to 29 years), OBC-NCL – 3 years (up to 27 years), for posts reserved for them. PwBD – up to 10 years (up to 15 years for SC/ST and up to 13 years for OBC-NCL).
✅ Training Location and Period:
Period of apprenticeship training: 12 months.
Training locations are restricted to Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, UT of Daman & Diu and UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. This engagement is under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and does not confer any right to appointment in IOCL.
✅ IOCL WR Apprentice 2026 Selection Process:
- Candidates must register successfully on the NAPS / NATS portal and apply against the notification.
- There will be no written test and no interview.
- Merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentage of marks in the essential prescribed qualification.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.
- Pre-engagement medical fitness test is compulsory.
- Profile on NAPS / NATS must be 100% complete. Corrections, if any, must be taken up with the NAPS / NATS office.
