Nature of Appointment:
- Registrar: Deputation including Short Term Contract / Direct Recruitment on tenure basis for 5 years or up to 62 years of age, whichever is earlier.
- Superintending Engineer: Deputation including Short Term Contract for 3 years, extendable up to a maximum of 5 years subject to satisfactory performance.
- Technical Officer: Direct Recruitment with one-year probation.
✅ IIT Goa Non Teaching Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria:
Registrar (Level-14):
- Qualification: Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- Experience: At least 15 years as Assistant Professor in Academic Level-11 and above, or 8 years in Academic Level-12 and above including as Associate Professor with educational administration experience; OR comparable experience in a research establishment / higher education institution; OR 15 years’ administrative experience, of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent.
- Desirable: Proven administrative ability in a large educational/research institution; Degree in Management/Law or Ph.D.
Superintending Engineer (Level-13):
- Qualification: B.Tech. / B.E. in Civil / Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institute / University.
- Experience: Holding analogous post; OR 15 years’ relevant experience in execution and construction of Civil/Electrical works including Public Health and Contract Management; OR 7 years as Executive Engineer in Pay Level-11 or equivalent in Central/State Government / Autonomous Bodies / PSUs.
- Desirable: Proven project handling in Civil, Electrical, MEP; working knowledge of CAD, BIM and ICT; computer office applications.
Technical Officer (Level-10):
- Qualification: B.Tech. / B.E. or equivalent in Mechanical / Chemical / Materials Engineering with minimum 60% marks or equivalent GPA.
- Experience: 6 years after qualifying degree in Level-6, OR 3 years in Level-7 and above or equivalent. Full-time M.Tech./M.E. duration may be counted up to 2 years; Ph.D. duration may be counted up to 3 years.
- Desirable: Experience in R&D / instructional labs, projects and new facilities; Master’s / Doctoral degree; leadership qualities.
Age Relaxation: As per Government of India norms for reserved categories (only if the post is reserved for that category). PwBD (maximum 56 years) and Ex-servicemen relaxation as per rules. Regular IIT Goa employees: age limit 57 years. Non-regular/contract staff of IIT Goa with at least 5 years’ service: relaxation up to 57 years.
