The Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC) Chennai has issued a notification for the appointment of an Electricity Ombudsman as per the Regulations for Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum and Electricity Ombudsman 2004. The Ombudsman will handle appeals against orders issued by the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum of Distribution Licensees and perform duties as per the Commission's notified codes and regulations.
