East Central Railway (ECR) has released Notification No. ECR-SEE0PERS(ESTT)/0340/2024 on August 29, 2025, inviting applications for walk-in interviews to engage full-time Specialists and General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs) on a one-year contractual basis. The interviews are scheduled for September 14, 2025, at the Divisional Railway Hospital, Sonpur, starting at 10:00 AM.

✅ Post Details:

✔️ Specialist: 2 posts at Divisional Railway Hospital, Sonpur (01 Ophthalmologist, 01 General Surgeon or Orthopedic Surgeon). If specialists unavailable, posts may be filled by GDMOs with ₹ 95,000/month remuneration.
✔️ GDMO: 1 post at Sub Divisional Railway Hospital, Garhara (preference for Lady Doctor).

✅ Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025):

✔️ General Candidates: Maximum 60 years.
✔️ SC/ST: 5 years relaxation; OBC: 3 years relaxation.
✔️ Retired IRMS/State/Central Govt. Medical Officers: Maximum 67 years; remuneration plus pension not to exceed last pay drawn.

✅ Eligibility Criteria:

✔️ Specialist: MD/DNB or Diploma in relevant specialty (Ophthalmology, General Surgery, or Orthopedics); registered with MCI/State Medical Council; preference for experience in Govt./reputed private hospitals.
✔️ GDMO: MBBS with Internship; registered with MCI/State Medical Council; preference for experience in Govt./reputed private hospitals.

✅ Selection Process:

✔️ Walk-in interview Date: 14/09/2025, at 10:00 AM.
✔️ Walk-in interview Time: 10:00 AM.
✔️ Venue: Divisional Railway Hospital, ECR, Sonpur.

➢ Submit application in the prescribed format with self-attested photocopies and originals of: proof of age, MBBS/Internship/PG certificates, experience certificate, MCI/State registration, caste/OBC-NCL certificate (Central format, if applicable), mark sheets, four passport-size photos with self-signature, PPO + copy for retired doctors, Aadhaar, and PAN.
