Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) Shillong invites online applications from eligible Indian Citizens for recruitment of Inspector of Excise in the Office of the Commissioner of Excise, Primary Investigator/ Computer under the Directorate of Economics & Statistics and Field Assistant under the Directorate of Economics & Statistics in December 2024. ✅ Age Limit: (As on 01/01/2024)
Inspector of Excise: 18 to 27 years. Upper age relaxation - 05 years for SC / ST.
Primary Investigator / Computer, Field Assistant: 18 to 32 years. Upper age relaxation - 05 years for SC / ST.
✅ Monthly Salary (Pay Scale):
Inspector of Excise: Level 11
Primary Investigator / Computer: Level 05
Field Assistant: Level 04
✅ Eligibility Criteria:
✔️ Inspector of Excise: Degree in any discipline.
✔️ Primary Investigator / Computer: HSSLC or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Statistics or Economics as one of the subjects.
✔️ Field Assistant: SSLC (Matriculation) Pass or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subject. Knowledge of Khasi, Janita or Garo language for the post is essential.
✅ Selection Process:
✔️ Screening Test / Main Written Examination
✔️ Personal Interview
✅ Application Fee:
✔️ ₹ 350/- for Inspector of Excise posts.
✔️ ₹ 320/- for Primary Investigator / Computer and Field Assistant posts.
✔️ Half rate for SC / ST who are permanent residents of the state of Meghalaya.
✔️ No fee for PWDs.
✔️ The fee should be made through e-Challan (Cash Payment) or Debit cum ATM Cards / Credit Cards / Net Banking.

Eligible and Interested candidates must apply online through Meghalaya PSC Online Application Portal (mpsc.nic.in). The closing date for registration of online applications is 20/01/2025 (Monday) up to 5:00 PM.
