Northern Railway, Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), New Delhi invites online applications from eligible Indian Sports Persons against Sports Quota from Open Market Advertisement for the Year 2018-19. The online registration will be open from 17th December 2018 and close on 18th January 2019.

Pay Scales:
(a) 16 Vacancies in PB -1 ₹ 5200-20200, GP ₹ 1900/2000 (6th CPC)/ Level 2 & 3 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC
(b) 05 vacancies in PB -1 ₹ 5200-20200, GP ₹ 2400/2800 (6th CPC)/ Level 4 & 5 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC
Minimum Educational Qualification:
(a) Sr. Secondary (12thpass)/ ITI/ Equivalent in PB-1 ₹ 5200-20200 (6th CPC)/ Level 2 & 3 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC.
(b) Graduate Degree for in PB-1 ₹ 5200-20200 (6th CPC)/ Level 4 & 5 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC.
Application/ Trial/ Examination Fee: ₹ 250/- for SC/ST, Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes Only, ₹ 500/- for all other candidates. The Examination fee is to be paid through Online Mode Only.
Scheme for Recruitment: The procedure for recruitment of candidate will be as under:-
(1) Screening & Scrutiny of application.
(2) Trials of the eligible candidates shall be conducted to assess their sports performance and suitability for Railway/Unit team as well as Indian Railways team, the date for which will be intimated later on to the eligible candidates.
(3) Marks for the recruitment (out of 100 marks) will be awarded as under:-

Sports Eligibility:
(a) Represented the country in any of the Category-C Championships/Events:
Category C - Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior category) Asian Championships/ Asia Cup (Junior/Senior category) South Asian Federation Games (senior category) (OR)
(b) Atleast 3rd position in Federation Cup Championship (senior category) (OR)
(c) Represented a state or equivalent unit in Senior/Youth/Junior National
Championships. (OR)
(d) Atleast 3rd position in Senior State Championships for all units and District of the state.
Selection Procedure:
(1) Trial of sports performance.
(2) Interview-assessment of sports achievements, educational qualifications and other criteria for selection.
(3) The original education, date of birth proof and sports certificates may be
shown at the time of trial/interview otherwise the candidate will not be
allowed to attend the trial procedure.
(4) Candidates declared unfit during the trial by the Trial Committee shall not be considered for the next stage by the Recruitment Committee.
Application Fee: A Non-Refundable fee of ₹ 40/- including postal charges through a Crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) payable at New Delhi in the name of Divisional Sports Association, Northern Railway, Delhi Division though ordinary dak only. No fee for SC / ST Category Candidates.
How To Apply: The candidates should apply for the post notified as per prescribed application formats on a good quality plain paper of A-4 size along with two latest passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazetted officer.
The application should be filled in by the candidate in their own hand writing and sent to SPORTS CELL, WELFARE BRANCH, DIVISIONAL RAILWAY MANAGER'S OFFICE NORTHERN RAILWAY STATE ENTRY ROAD, NEW DELHI- 110 055 through Ordinary Post only. The Last date for receipt of application is 24/06/2016. The Recruitment notification was cancelled.
According to Northern Railway Corrigendum Notice says, "It has now been decided that group 'D' quota allotted for recruitment of sports person in Grade Pay Rs. 1800/- may be frozen up for the year 2016-1 7 as direct by Dy. Director, Estt. (Sports), Rly. Bd. letter no. 2015/E(Sports)/4(1)/11 dated 25.05.2016, So, Employment Notice No. : 400E/118/Sports/Rectt./Delhi Division/2016-17 dated 16.05.2016 may be treated as cancelled."
