Educational Qualifications:

Assistant Inspector of Motor Vehicle	(1) Possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (3 yrs. course) or Diploma in Automobile Engineering (3 yrs. course) or (2) a Degree in Mechanical engineering or Automobile Engineering of a recognized University or deemed university.
Lady Officer	(1) A candidate shall possess - A Master Degree in Social work or Labour Welfare obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be a deemed University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government; (2) The basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment(General)Rules-1967; and (3) Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Joint Director	(1) A candidate shall possess (i) A Second Class Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering obtained from any of the universities established or incorporated by or under the Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or any other educational institutions established or recognized as such by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under section-3 of University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government for this purpose or as per detailed advertisement; or AMIE(I), in the subject as specified in sub-clause (i) above or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government of any other institute recognized by the Government. (2) The basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment(General)Rules-1967; and (3) Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Microbiologist (Specialist Service)	(1) Possess a Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and Possess a Post-Graduate Degree or a Post-Graduate diploma in respective subject as shown in the detailed advertisement against each post obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act,1956; or possess any other equivalent qualification specified in the first or second schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act,1956; (2) Possess the basic knowledge of computer application In Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
