(2) Experience: (a) Essential: 2 years experience with One year National apprenticeship training certificate (NAC) or 3 years experience in a reputed research institute or in a medium scale industry doing high precision jobs, involving machine operations like, turning, milling, shaping, and grinding etc. on conventional machines. Conversant with interpretation of engineering drawings. (OR) Experience: (a) Essential: 2 years experience with One year National apprenticeship training certificate (NAC) or 3 years experience in a reputed research institute or in a medium scale industry carrying out assembly and integration of precision instruments. The candidate shall be well versed with fitting, grinding operations. Conversant with interpretation of engineering drawings.

Project Engineer-I (Mechanical) ->

Hands on experience in Thermo elastic analysis, non linear and transient thermal dynamics. Proficiency in interpreting fabrication drawings, inspection reports.
(3) Desirable: Proficiency in design of aerospace components and systems, especially opto-mechanical systems for dynamic and thermal loads. Knowledge of environmental tests and protocols. Design and Analysis of Optical instruments/ Payloads for Space applications using CAD tools like NS NASTRAN are an advantage. Operational knowledge of the Mechanical Engineering drafting software like Auto CAD and also Microsoft Office software is an advantage. Vendor development for fabrication and metrology. Flair for system integration and testing is an advantage.

Educational Qualification: Post-graduate in Library & Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.) with basic degree in Science (preferable). Students who have appeared for final exam and awaiting results may also apply.

Additional Qualification: Basic Knowledge of computer and working knowledge of any library software and open source software. It is also desirable that the individuals are familiar with the preservation and conservation procedure of the library materials.
